Terms of Service

These terms cover buying and using Supermac, the app for macOS, and the website at supermac.io. By buying or using Supermac you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Supermac is made by George Kitanov (“Kitze”), a sole proprietor based in Skopje, North Macedonia. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Kitze; “you” means the person who bought or uses Supermac.

2. Your license

  • Supermac is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Your license lets you use Supermac on up to 3 Macs that you own or control, and includes the beta and all 1.x updates.
  • The license is personal. Don’t share, resell or publish your license key, and don’t use it to get around the device limit.
  • Don’t reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
  • You can manage your license and activations in the customer portal.

3. Payment

Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, which also handles sales tax and VAT and sends your receipt. The price is the one shown at checkout. If we change the price later, it doesn’t affect a license you already bought.

4. Refunds

Full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked.

To ask for one, email [email protected] from the email you used at checkout. Refunds are issued through Polar. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

5. AI providers

Supermac’s AI features use a provider you connect yourself (for example OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini or xAI Grok) with your own API key and account, or a local model through Ollama or LM Studio. Your use of that provider is governed by its terms, any usage fees are billed by that provider to you, and you are responsible for keeping your API keys safe. We are not responsible for third-party providers’ availability, pricing or handling of your data.

6. Using Supermac responsibly

  • AI output and translations can be wrong. Review them before you rely on them, especially for medical, legal, financial or other important use.
  • Supermac controls parts of your Mac, such as windows, apps and files, when you ask it to. You are responsible for what you use it to do.

7. Beta, updates and availability

Supermac is in beta. We ship updates to fix bugs and add features, and features may change over time. Supermac needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Activation and update checks use our licensing service at releaseflow.net.

8. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. No warranty

Supermac is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Supermac is limited to the amount you paid us for Supermac in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, and the courts of Skopje have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. If you keep using Supermac after a change, the new terms apply.

13. Contact
